176 persons die in Ogun road crashes

A complete of 176 individuals have died in varied street crashes that occurred throughout Ogun State between January and December 2020, DAILY POST learnt.

The Ogun State Site visitors Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, confirmed this to our correspondent in Abeokuta on Monday.

Throughout the interval, a complete of 852 street visitors crashes occurred within the state, “involving 171 personal vehicles, 153 personal buses, 168 industrial buses, 189 industrial vehicles, 101 bikes, 52 tricycles, 155 medium vehicles, 169 heavy vehicles and 93 different automobiles.”

In response to a report made accessible to DAILY POST by TRACE spokesman, Babatunde Akinbiyi, 3,021 individuals had been concerned in street crashes inside the 12 months interval, out of which 990 individuals – 695 males, 295 females, sustained varied levels of accidents.

It was stated that 176 individuals -133 males, 43 females had been killed and 1,855 individuals had been rescued unharmed as a consequence of immediate response to 594 emergency calls acquired by the TRACE Corps.
