207 suspected bandits, kidnappers, rapists arrested in Kaduna

The Police Command in Kaduna State has introduced the arrest of 207 suspected bandits, kidnappers, cattle rustlers and rapists.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Umar Muri who made the disclosure at a press briefing on Wednesday in Kaduna, stated the arrests have been made in the previous few weeks.

He stated that various recoveries have been made which included 41 weapons, 1,113 rounds of AK47 reside ammunition, 16 rounds of reside cartridges, 26 empty shells of AK47 and 17 sharp knives and cutlasses, NAN experiences.

Different objects recovered from the suspects have been N93 million and 180,070 Saudi Riyals, in addition to N5.7 million of faux US {Dollars}, 200,00 faux Euro Payments, 210,00zero faux CFA Forex and N2.7 million faux Naira notes.

Additionally recovered have been 2,400 luggage of stolen poultry feeds valued at N8.three million, 823 luggage of rice, ten motor automobiles, 31 bikes and 15 Plasma Televisions valued N8.6 million.

Muri added that the command recovered 833 rustled cattle, 20 sheep, 14 cell telephones, 9 Laptops, six faux Police ID Playing cards, two hearth extinguishers, 48 sacks of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and a few assorted charms.

Muri burdened that the command would proceed to make the state uncomfortable for criminals and known as for extra help from most people.

He recalled that the command, had between January to April 2020, arrested no fewer than 81 suspected criminals and recovered numerous reveals of their crimes.

“Up to now, all of the suspects paraded are being diligently prosecuted with a view to gaining conviction, thereby taking these legal components out of circulation in our communities,” Muri added.
