Aguleri/Umuleri crisis: Obiano imposes 3-day curfew

Governor Willie Obiano has introduced the imposition of curfew on Aguleri, Umueri and Umuoba Anam cities.

DAILY POST learnt the motive behind the imposition of curfew was to stem additional outbreak of communal violence within the three cities.

In a press release made accessible to DAILY POST, Governor Obiano stated the curfew will final from 7pm to 7am each day, starting on Saturday, sixteenth January, 2021.

He stated within the brief message, “The curfew within the first occasion will final for 3 days. Violators of the curfew can be prosecuted.”
