Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, has stated some Boko Haram members are Christians, Muslims, white males and Asians.
Zulum spoke in the course of the seventeenth Chief Gani Fawehinmi Annual Lecture organised by the Nigerian Bar Affiliation in Ikeja, Lagos State, over the weekend.
The governor stated Nigerians ought to see insurgency as a basic problem and never only a Northeast drawback alone.
Zulum stated terrorism and banditry are because of the excessive charge of unemployment, poverty, drug abuse and nepotism.
Zulum stated: “I’m from Borno State and plenty of of our youngsters are in Boko Haram.
“I’m not denying the actual fact. However once more, they’re being sponsored by many individuals internationally.
“Amongst Boko Haram, now we have white males, Asians, Africans, Muslims and Christians.
