Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, has stated some Boko Haram members are Christians, Muslims, white males and Asians.
Zulum spoke throughout the seventeenth Chief Gani Fawehinmi Annual Lecture organised by the Nigerian Bar Affiliation in Ikeja, Lagos State, over the weekend.
The governor stated Nigerians ought to see insurgency as a normal problem and never only a Northeast drawback alone.
Zulum stated terrorism and banditry are because of the excessive charge of unemployment, poverty, drug abuse and nepotism.
Zulum stated: “I’m from Borno State and lots of of our youngsters are in Boko Haram.
“I’m not denying the very fact. However once more, they’re being sponsored by many individuals the world over.
“Amongst Boko Haram, we’ve white males, Asians, Africans, Muslims and Christians.
