Court remands man for jumping bail

An Osogbo Magistrates’ Courtroom has ordered the remand of a 30-year-old man, Wasiu Abiodun for leaping bail and failing to face trial.

The Police prosecutor, ASP Abiodun Fagboyinbo knowledgeable the court docket that the accused individual was charged to court docket for defrauding one Alhaja Sakirat Abdullazeez of N2,400,000.

He alleged that the accused individual deliberately disrespected the court docket by being absent from court docket on April 4, 2019; April 11, 2019; Could 2, 2019; June 3, 2019; August 15, 2019; October 3, 2019; December 16, 2019; February 6, 2020 and February 24, 2020, when his case was talked about.

The prosecutor stated the offence dedicated by the accused individual is opposite to and punishable underneath Part 126 of the Felony Code Cap 34 Vol ll Regulation of Osun State 2002.

The accused individual pleaded not responsible to the allegation levelled towards him.

Defence Counsel, Oluseye Oluyonbo prayed the court docket to grant his consumer bail in essentially the most liberal time period.

Presiding Justice of the Peace, Adijat Oloyade ordered the remand of the accused individual at Ilesa Correctional Centre pending his trial.

Oloyade stated the defence counsel doesn’t deem it match to tell the court docket that his consumer is in one other case which brought on the arrest of his two sureties.

She, thereby, adjourned the case until October 22, 2020, for listening to.
