The Electrical energy Provide Fee (Eskom) has launched a press release condemning the incidents that are allegedly attributed to the current spike in land invasions within the province.
Eskom says it fears for the protection of its workers following two violent incidents involving its automobiles within the Western Cape.
Each drivers of the automobiles escaped unhurt.
The primary automobile was stoned and set alight by protestors in Khayelitsha and the second automobile was stoned within the Bardale space in Mfuleni.
Eskom has since launched a press release condemning the incidents that are allegedly attributed to the current spike in land invasions within the province.
Alwie Lester, the Basic Supervisor for Distribution, Western Cape mentioned in his assertion:
“Eskom strongly condemns the harassment of its workers who’re merely finishing up their duties. We’ve taken the choice to withdraw all Eskom providers to elements of Khayelitsha and all the Bardale space in Mfuleni.”
“Sadly buyer faults won’t be attended to till these areas are declared protected for Eskom to return,” reads the assertion.
