Katsina: Flood claims 8 lives, affects 25,961 buildings
Katsina State Emergency Administration Company (KSEMA) has confirmed that floods prompted the demise of eight individuals.
Additionally affected have been 25,961 buildings and seven,019 hectares of farmlands.
The Public Relations Officer, Umar Mohammed, informed NAN that 17 individuals sustained numerous levels of accidents.
All of the 34 Native Authorities Areas have been hit since January 2020.
A complete of 103 homes have been affected by floods in Kankara LGA, the bottom quantity, whereas Katsina LGA recorded the very best with 3,568 homes affected.
KSEMA urged the Presidential Committee on Flood Aid and Rehabilitation, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and the Nationwide Emergency Administration Company (NEMA) to help the victims.
