Limpopo premier Stan Mathabatha is denying any prior information of a controversial shack settlement funded by his province.
Mathabatha unveiled the 40 shacks within the Larger Tzaneen Native Municipality on Friday.
The provincial division reportedly paid R2.four million for the shacks, amounting to about R60,000 per shack.
Every shack is produced from corrugated iron on raised bricks with two rooms.
The brand new residents have complained that a number of the shacks are constructed poorly with unattached doorways, open insulation and badly made home windows.
The shacks had been constructed as an alternative choice to the overcrowded and dilapidated hostel.
