A person who allegedly reported himself to the police after taking pictures and killing his spouse in Jap Cape has been denied bail.
The courtroom refused bail for Lubabalo Magwebu who surrendered himself to the police on Wednesday after he shot his spouse following a heated argument between them in Dimbaza.
His offence was termed “severe”.
On Friday, the police in a press release mentioned “it’s alleged that someday final week Lubabalo Magwebu and his spouse had an argument which led to the spouse leaving their matrimonial house.”
“She went to her dad and mom’ house which can also be in Dimbaza [King William’s Town].”
Magwebu and his spouse met on the road two days after the argument.
On assembly, the estranged couple had one other quarrel which allegedly prompted the incident.
He allegedly introduced out a firearm and shot his spouse.
She died instantly from the gunshot wounds.
“The courtroom denied him bail because the offence is severe and releasing him on bail would undermine public confidence within the prison justice system.”
“This comes after Magwebu handed himself and his firearm over to police on the Dimbaza Police Station on Wednesday,” mentioned the police.
Magwebu is anticipated to look once more in courtroom on September 6.
