Retired defence intelligence basic Manfred Mabuza has died
Former senior navy major-general, Manfred Mabuza has died.
The information of his demise was made public by the defence power chief, Gen Solly Shoke, and members of the Army Command.
The retired defence inteligence basic died on Tuesday after a short sickness.
The SANDF stated earlier than his retirement, Mabuza held a number of positions in defence intelligence.
He was appointed senior workers officer strategic intelligence.
He was later promoted and appointed as a private workers officer to the previous SANDF chief, Gen Siphiwe Nyanda.
Mabuza was later transferred and appointed director covert assortment earlier than he was raised to the place of chief director counter intelligence.
That was the final potion he held earlier than he was appointed basic officer commanding coaching command and chargeable for all coaching establishments of the SANDF navy.
He held this place till he retired in December 2014.
Defence and navy veterans minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, deputy minister Thabang Makwetla, secretary for defence Sonto Kudjoe and Shoke expressed their disappointment and “heartfelt condolences” to his household, colleagues and mates.
