US visa ban: UK, EU asked to sanction Nigerian politicians

The Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) has hailed the US for imposing visa restrictions on election offenders in Nigeria.

CISLAC urged the UK and different European international locations to take the identical motion.

The Govt Director, Auwal Musa, gave the commendation in a press release on Wednesday.

He mentioned the motion would restore equity, credibility and transparency to Nigeria’s electoral course of.

The activist described it as restoration of eroding democratic rules and core values.

He condemned unchecked violence, vote shopping for and poll looting throughout elections.
