FG threatens companies violating expatriate quota policy

The Federal Authorities has vowed to sanction corporations not complying with expatriate coverage of the nation.

Nigerian Expatriate Enterprise Allow and Expatriate Quota is a particular allow granted to overseas or native corporations to recruit foreigners to work in Nigeria. The Ministry of Inside is saddled with the duty according to part 36(1) of the Immigration Act.

The Chairman of the Particular Ministerial Job Power on Monitoring and Enforcement of Nigerian Expatriate Enterprise Allow and Expatriate Quota Administration, Bola Ilori in a press release following a gathering in Osogbo, Osun State with representatives of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Nigeria Labour Congress, Nigerian Bar Affiliation, Nigerian Society of Engineers accused some corporations in Nigeria of rigging the system.

He famous that as an alternative of recruiting certified Nigerians to understudy the expatriates, some corporations go for secondary college certificates holders in a bid to get renewal allow for his or her overseas expatriate.
