Goodluck Jonathan writes tribute to Tolulope Arotile

Former President, Goodluck Jonathan has expressed disappointment over the demise of Nigeria’s flying officer, Tolulope Arotile.

Recall that the 24-year-old flying officer was hit by an ex-classmate and died after sustaining head harm.

Jonathan in an announcement launched on Thursay commiserated with the household and colleagues of the deceased.

He mentioned Tolu was a courageous patriot who pushed herself past limits to reveal her unusual love for our pricey nation and made Nigeria proud.

“In 2011 when my administration launched females into the Nigeria Defence Academy to coach as combatants, for the primary time, it was to present equal alternatives to all women and men of the armed forces and encourage extremely pushed feminine officers like Tolulope to excel in her chosen profession, regardless of their gender.

“I really feel unhappy that such a younger gallant officer would die on the prime of her life. I’m nonetheless inspired by the truth that she stood out as a satisfying fulfilment of our dream of an all-embracing Nigeria armed forces devoid of discrimination.

“By dedicating her younger life to guard and defend Nigeria’s power, honour and unity, her reminiscence and legacy will proceed to function an incredible inspiration to our youth particularly our ladies,” he mentioned.
