The Unbiased Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC) has fastened the conduct of by-election for Kafin Hausa State Constituency, Jigawa State for Saturday, March 6.
The fee disclosed this in a press release and election timetable issued by its Nationwide Commissioner and Chairman, Info and Voter Training Committee, Mr Festus Okoye, on Thursday in Abuja.
Okoye stated that the fee met and deliberated on numerous points together with the conduct of the state constituency by-election.
The emptiness arose because of the demise of Adamu Baban-Naked, member representing Kafin Hausa State Constituency and the next declaration of emptiness for the Constituency by the Speaker of the Jigawa State Home of Meeting.
Okoye stated that the official notification for the election could be issued on February 1, whereas political events shall conduct their primaries between February 2 and February 8.
“The final day for submission of the listing of nominated candidates is at 6 pm. on Thursday, February 11.
“The entry code for the nomination types shall be obtainable for assortment from February 8 on the fee’s headquarters,” he stated.
