Kidnapped Ekiti businessman, Suleiman Akinbami regains freedom

Kidnapped Ekiti State businessman, Suleiman Akinbami has been launched by his abductors after spending eight days in captivity.

Akinbami was whisked away by unknown gunmen final Sunday at his filling station alongside the Federal Polytechnic Highway Ado Ekiti.
The abductors had on Wednesday contacted his household and demanded an N60 million ransom for his freedom.

Nevertheless, the Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Sunday Abutu confirmed that the sufferer was launched at about 3pm on Sunday round a distant space in Kogi State.

Abutu added that no ransom was paid to safe the liberty of the businessman, saying his launch adopted efforts by the police, hunters and Amotekun corps.

However a supply near Akinbami’s household stated the person paid ransom working into tens of millions, which was raised by mixed efforts of the sufferer’s household, mates and enterprise associates.

Abutu said that “the person had reunited along with his household. We guarantee most of the people that we’ll get him out unharmed the very day he was kidnapped and that was precisely what we did”.
