Lagos deploys handwashing stations – The Nation Nigeria

The Lagos State Authorities mentioned it has adopted internationally-accepted security protocols in curbing the unfold of the coronavirus throughout the state, together with the deployment of 100 models of handwashing stations to strategic places in its 20 native governments and Native Council Improvement Areas.

The handwashing stations have been produced by the state authorities, in collaboration with Procter and Gamble (P&G) Nigeria.

Talking on the inauguration and deployment of the Hand Washing Stations yesterday, the state’s deputy governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, mentioned the initiative would complement a number of different efforts of the state authorities already deployed within the administration of the virus.

He acknowledged that the institution of assorted Isolation centres, the place these contaminated by the virus are being handled throughout the state, the preliminary state-wide lockdown in addition to the varied ongoing enlightenment campaigns on how Lagosians can defend themselves from being contaminated are a few of the initiatives already adopted by the state authorities because the inception of the index case of COVID-19 in February this 12 months.
