Mama Taraba polled only 16,000 votes – APC mocks ex-minister

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba says it’s unshaken by the exit of the previous Minister of Ladies Affairs, Aisha Alhassan.

Alhassan, fondly referred to as Mama Taraba, had dumped the APC to contest the 2019 governorship election underneath the United Democratic Social gathering (UDP).

She defected to the Peoples Democratic Social gathering (PDP) months after the ballot.

In August, she made revelations about her ordeal whereas within the APC.

On Tuesday, Taraba APC Chairman, Ibrahim El-Sudi, referred to as her feedback “media hype”.

He spoke to newsmen after a gathering with APC Caretaker Committee Chairman and Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni in Abuja.

“That may be a media hype, as you may see, all of the juggernauts, movers and shakers of APC in Taraba are behind me. So, one individual can’t destroy or do something to APC”, NAN quoted him as saying.

Sudi famous that the previous minister didn’t command a lot political weight as the general public was made to consider.

He recalled that Alhassan solely polled 16,000 votes in the course of the normal election.

“Her motion has not shaken APC in Taraba. It’s within the coronary heart of Taraba those who they need APC and they’ll proceed to help APC”, he stated.

Sudi disclosed that his assembly with Buni was to smoothen issues within the Taraba chapter.

He expressed confidence that every one points can be resolved.
