Nasarawa monarch ‘kidnapped’ | The Nation Nigeria

Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a conventional ruler in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Mohammed Dankawo.

Our correspondent gathered Dankawo, who’s the Ardo Udege within the Udege Native Council Growth Space of Nasarawa State, was kidnapped from his residence.

It was gathered the abductors had demanded a ransom of N7m for his launch.

However Nasarawa Commissioner of Police Bola Longe instructed The Nation the monarch was not kidnapped.

He stated: “We’re in search of him to arrest him. We’re going to arrest him.

“We’ve arrested him earlier than for giving kidnappers info.”
