NHIS: IG of Police orders registration of retired officers

The Inspector-Basic of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has directed nationwide registration and capturing of all retired cops for the Nationwide Well being Insurance coverage Scheme (NHIS).

Power Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, stated this in an announcement on Thursday.

The directive adopted federal authorities’s approval for the enrollment of retired cops on the NHIS.

Mba famous that every one retired cops, no matter their rank, together with a partner, can have full entry to all NHIS providers.

“The retirees may also have entry to the advantages coated by the Police Well being Upkeep Group (Police-HMO) Code-073,” he stated.

The registration and capturing could be in three batches and performed at police space instructions nationwide.

The ex-officers have been suggested to go to the command closest to them with their Nationwide Id Quantity, letter of retirement and retiree’s identification playing cards.

The registration shall be held from September 7 to September 23.

North-West, North-East and a part of North-Central, Federal Capital Territory and Nasarawa – September 7 to September 9.
