Nigeria at 60: Abia’s Ikpeazu distributes COVID-19 stimulus packages to citizens

As a part of actions marking Nigeria sixtieth Independence Anniversary, merchants in Aba and Umuahia have been in jubilant temper as Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, launched into direct distribution of stimulus package deal to them in main markets of the state.

It will be recalled that Governor Ikpeazu had in a press release endorsed by the Secretary to the State Authorities, Barr Chris Ezem, introduced that his administration was decided to assist merchants who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 lockdown within the state.

Merchants in Most important Market, Ariaria and Ekeoha Purchasing Centre, all in Aba, began receiving money sums distributed by designated authorities officers who prioritized petty merchants, widows and desk merchants within the distribution which began from 9am with a lot of them seen jubilating and praising the Governor for remembering them at such a time.
