NSCDC arrest 10 suspected illegal gas refiners in Lagos

A ten-man gang of suspected unlawful refiners of Automotive Gasoline Oil (AGO) have been arrested by the Nigeria Safety and Civil Protection Corps (NSCDC) in Lagos State.

Mr Paul Ayeni, the state NSCDC Commandant, whereas parading the suspects on Monday in Lagos, stated the NSCDC collaborated with the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) to arrest the suspects on Jan. 23.

He recognized the suspects as; Okriko Ebi, 45- yr-old, Monday Otuagomah, 44 years, Olumide Ikuyiminy, 53 years, Binabi Males, 40 years and Pius Ayeni, 45 years.

“Others are; Moses Ajimisan, 33 years, Maurice Blessing, 30 years, Barry Omoseye, 49 years, Idowu Ekundayo, 37 years and Knowledge Blessing, 30 years previous.

Ayeni who defined that the suspects have been intercepted in a wood boat in Badagry space of Lagos State, added that three of them are from Awoye Neighborhood, Ilaje, Native Authorities Space, Ondo State whereas seven others hail from Isoko North Area of Delta.

Reveals recovered from the boat included; 20 GeePee tanks of 1,500 litres every and 16 drums suspected to be Automotive Gasoline Oil (AGO).

The Commandant stated the suspects could be charged to courtroom when all investigations are concluded.
