Ondo 2020: Akeredolu’s deputy, Ajayi reacts to defeat at PDP primaries

Ondo State deputy Governor Hon Agboola Ajayi, has reacted to his defeat on the Peoples Democratic Celebration, PDP, main election.

DAILY POST had reported that Eyitayo Jegede on Wednesday emerged winner of the PDP governorship primaries.

Out of the 2111 delegates who voted throughout the primaries which lasted about eight hours, Jegede who was the standard-bearer of the social gathering in 2016, polled 888 votes to emerge the winner, whereas his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi scored 667.

This implies Jegede will slug it out with Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of the APC within the October 10, 2020 Ondo State governorship election.

Reacting, Ajayi whereas conceding defeat thanked the individuals of Ondo State for standing by him.

The deputy governor in an announcement by his Media aide,
Comrade Allen Sowore stated it was a race in opposition to many forces.

”The individuals have spoken, and we settle for the result in good religion, understanding totally properly that it was a race in opposition to completely different forces.

He wished the nice individuals of Ondo State and the winner one of the best, including that life goes on.
