Orji Kalu reacts to death of ex NADECO Chairman, Ndubuisi Kanu

Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, on Wednesday described the dying of former Army Administrator of Imo and Lagos States, Ndubisi Kanu as a “large loss.”

Kalu, a retired Rear Admiral, handed away on Wednesday on the age of 78-years after a short sickness.

The deceased is from Ugwunta in isuikwuato Native Authorities of Abia State.

Reacting, the lawmaker in a condolence message on Wednesday, commiserated with Ndigbo, the folks and authorities of Abia particularly over Kanu’s demise, NAN stories.

Kalu stated the ex-Chairman of Nationwide Democratic Coalition (NADECO) said that Kanu was one of many few Nigerians that fought for the enthronement of democracy.

“He has left indelible footprints within the annals of Nigeria’s democracy, owing to his outstanding, unbeatable and historic good deeds.

“The late statesman will certainly be missed for his counsel on the neighborhood, sub-national and nationwide ranges,” he stated.
