Oyo police confirms killing of Ibadan socialite

Oyo State Police command has confirmed the killing of an Ibadan socialite, Mr. Teslim Akinpelu by suspected armed robbers.

Police confirmed that the deceased, often known as Gatuso, was killed by 4 armed robbers on Saturday.

DAILY POST recollects that Akinpelu was Saturday night shot by armed robbers in a resort round Iyaganku space of Ibadan.

Akinpelu, DAILY POST gathered, died because of the gunshot he sustained.

The Public Relations Officer of the States Police command, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi, in his response, confirmed the killing of the socialite.

Fadeyi in a press release made accessible to DAILY POST on Monday, added that DPO of Iyaganku had commenced investigation into the matter.

He mentioned that the armed robbers pretended to be lodgers earlier than finishing up their evil intention.

Fadeyi mentioned, “Teslim Akinpelu, aka Gatuso was shot useless by 4 armed males at City resort NTC Iyaganku at about 0045 hrs.

“They pretended to be lodgers earlier than carying out their evil intention.
