Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has revealed that the disaster rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) was resulting from members preoccupation with ideas of 2023 presidential election.
In an interview on Come up Tv on Sunday, Governor Wike mentioned the APC was not pondering delivering dividend of democracy to Nigerians.
“Everyone thinks of taking up from the President. So as an alternative of you to pay attention, you might be pondering of taking up,” he mentioned.
“You don’t even know the minds of Nigeria. The purpose is that being a ruling social gathering and with Mr. President being there, he gained’t enable his social gathering to lose out.”
2023 Presidential Ambition
On his personal presidential ambition, the PDP chieftain debunked rumours that he was plotting to contest for the presidency in 2023.
Wike who mentioned it was too early to begin 2023 politics, recalled that rumours had claimed that he needed to be working mate to the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal within the 2019 normal election.
He mentioned he had not completed his first time period when the hearsay of vying for vice-president emerged.
