Suspected Bike Thieves Crushed Mercilessly And Apprehended In Ogun

Two infamous robbers have been arrested by the Ogun state police for stealing bikes within the state.

An announcement from the state police command spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, says the suspects, Joshua Michael, 27 and Emeka Nwanga, 26, have been apprehended on Monday, July 20 with the mixed efforts of policemen connected to Ilese-Ijebu Division in Ijebu-Ode.

Based on Oyeyemi, the suspects have been behind most instances of bike snatching within the Ijebu-Ode and its environs. He stated the suspects have been arrested after they tried snatching one other bike at Ikangba Property and a misery name was put throughout to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), SP Olusesi Kayode, who promptly mobilized his Anti-robbery group to the scene.

“On sighting the policemen, the suspects took to their heels however have been hotly chased and apprehended with the assistance of members of the general public.” the assertion learn

Oyeyemi added {that a} bike and a locally-made pistol have been recovered from the suspects.

“In the meantime, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kenneth Ebrimson, has ordered the switch of the suspects to Particular Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) for discreet investigation and prosecution”, the assertion concluded.
