 Tony Akowe, Abuja

MAIN opposition Peoples Democratic Occasion (PDP) caucus within the Home of Representatives has given President Muhammadu Buhari 4 weeks to offer tighter safety for Nigerians.

It appealed to the President to scrub what it known as the “embarrassing and infamous corruption circumstances” within the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC) and the Niger Delta Improvement Fee (NDDC).

In a press release by its Chief Kingsley Chinda, the caucus accused the Government arm of presidency of deliberate ploy to blackmail the Nationwide Meeting.

It mentioned the current state of affairs mustn’t have arisen in a constitutional democracy during which the Structure is held as inviolate and inviolable.

Chinda accused the Government arm of hijacking different arms of presidency, supplanting them into obsequious rubber stamps to subvert the Structure.

He described the 774,000 Public Works jobs accepted by the President and being executed by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN), as an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) to siphon public funds.

He mentioned: “It’s too evident that there’s a deliberate and calculated blackmail by the Government to ridicule the Nationwide Meeting and produce the parliament into public odium.

“The odious occasions of the previous few weeks, mainly orchestrated by unconscionable officers of the Government arm of presidency, who proceed to indicate disrespect for the Structure of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the ethos, notions and governance practices that form constitutional democracy, underscore the blackmail.
