Workers shut down Ibadan Polytechnic over minimum wage

Employees on the Polytechnic Ibadan on Monday shut the establishment down over non-payment of the federal authorities authorised minimal wage within the establishment.

The employee who contains each the educational and non-academic workers of the establishment declared an indefinite strike on Monday.

The overall assembly of the educational and non-academic workers of the establishment convened by a Joint committee of all Employees Unions mentioned the governing council and the Oyo State authorities have repeatedly refused to implement the minimal wage for staff within the citadel of studying.

Chairman, Senior Employees Affiliation of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP), Comrade Abiodun Abegunde, famous that the problem should be fought to a logical conclusion.
